Platform tennis is a great fall, winter and spring socialactivity played day and night by men and women of all age. Easy to learn and primarily played by four people of all fitness and skill levels, this game provides a combination of outdoor exercise, concentration, athleticism and a lifetime of fun. Just talk with any one of the hundreds of addicted players in our area and find out what you’re missing. Odds are, you live next to one already.
Governed by the American Platform Tennis Association, whose Website includes rules, history, leagues and equipment for this national sport.
A Glen Ellyn Park District season membership entitles members to court time from August 2011 through April 2012. Members may also reserve court time through the online reservation system and have access to the warming shelter. Guest fees are included in your membership for October and January only. Members should review the reservation rules posted on the online reservation program. Fees are listed below Leagues.

We offer weekly match play for men of all skill levels and is geared for those who want to gain experience in organized play. Advanced players will be on-hand to offer valuable tips and strategy for you to improve your game. This program is great for entry-level and recreation players and is all about having fun! Players provide their own paddles. All league players must hold an annual paddle membership with the Glen Ellyn Park District. This league fills up fast on a first come, first served basis to the first 30 members. Playoffs begin after league play ends. Open to Glen Ellyn Park District members only. |

Platform tennis members have organized the Glen Ellyn Platform Tennis Club, a separate, not-for-profit club dedicated to promoting and supporting the sport of platform tennis in and around Glen Ellyn (this club is not operated by the Glen Ellyn Park District. Questions about it should be directed to the club).
