A permit is required for each dog visiting the dog park. Permits are issued at the Spring Avenue Recreation Center only (click here to see Spring Avenue Recreation Center Hours). In order to receive a permit, a dog owner must first provide:

1. Proof of Residency. Acceptable forms include a current driver's license, tax statement and utility bill.

2. Copy of Rabies Vaccination.

4. Payment in Full. Acceptable forms include cash, check, Visa, MasterCard and Discover.

Your pass will be confiscated by the park district if it is used illegally for a dog that is not registered.

Due to the concentration of dogs, dog conflicts may occur. It is the responsibility of the owners/handlers to maintain control of their dog(s). To prevent injuries, supervise your dog(s) at all times. Dog owners are responsible for their own dog(s) and any injuries they may cause. If your dog inflicts an injury, immediately leash your dog, provide your name and phone number to those involved, and leave the dog park.

To register a complaint about aggressive dog behavior, call the Spring Avenue Recreation Center at 630-942-7256. Complaints about aggressive behavior will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and may result in revocation of dog park membership with no refund.
