FEATURED EVENT: Earth Day Festival

Join us for an evening of celebration at the Lake Ellyn Boathouse on Earth Day, April 22, at 7:30pm. We will have over a dozen environmentally-themed groups present as well as music, refreshments, and outdoor photography to enjoy. If the skies are clear, we will have a star party with telescopes! The 5th Annual Earth Day Festival is sponsored by the Glen Ellyn Sustainability Group, in cooperation with the Glen Ellyn Park District.


Athletic Fields Update

UPDATE: Due to the challenging field conditions as a result of the extreme winter, please be sure to check the Glen Ellyn Park District “Weather Cancellation and Closures” page here or call (630) 984-5075 for updated information on field conditions, field changes, and games for our athletic programs.


Park District Hours for Sunday, April 20
The Park District will observe the following hours on Sunday, April 20:

Spring Avenue Recreation Center and Fitness Center:
Closed - Spring Avenue Fitness Center members may use the Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center with photo ID.

Main Street Recreation Center: Closed

Holes & Knolls Mini Golf:

Special Hours at Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center on Sunday, April 20

Please note that Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center will observe the following hours on Sunday, April 20:

> Fitness Center: 7am-1pm
> Walking Track: 7am-1pm
> Front Desk: 7am-7pm

Newton Skate Park is now open!
The skate park is open 7 days a week from 6am until dusk.


Spring/Summer 2014 Activity Registration Dates

Registration for Spring/Summer 2014 activities is now open to residents and non-residents!

Spring/Summer 2014 Activity Guides are available at Main Street Recreation Center, Spring Avenue Recreation Center and Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center. To view the guide online, please click here.

Registration is now first come, first serve.

The Glen Ellyn Park District implemented an improved registration system on March 3, 2014, in order to better serve our patrons. To register for Spring/Summer programs, all users will need to create a new account either online or in-person. Click here for full details.


Featured Park: Village Green!

The Glen Ellyn Park District is looking for dedicated individuals who want to help care for our local parks. We will work with your group to set up a schedule, determine projects, and work alongside you. From cleaning up trash to planting flowers and trees - we need your help!

About Village Green Park:
Village Green Park is located at 130 S. Lambert Road
The 30-acre park features 8 baseball diamonds, a multi-purpose field, two tennis courts, batting cages, community garden plots, and a basketball court.
